On my Amazing Success under the guidance of Linda Lee

I am pretty sensitive when it come to my advice on my diet, what I should and shouldn’t eat and how this will affect my body. Consequently, trust must be earned before I put all the cards on the table with a potential advisor. Linda has proven herself to be so competent, knowledgeable and willing to truly help that I felt a strong trust and so gave her the full picture of not only my concerns, worriers, fears and apprehensions but also my goals and ideals that I wanted to achieve. She is a wealth of knowledge but imparts that knowledge with such kindness and understanding that I couldn’t help but realize many things about myself and my health. These realizations kept flowing for days and days.

One of these is managing hunger pangs. I had this wrong understanding that went like this, “if I am hungry, it will get worse and worse and I won’t function well unless I eat something”.  Thinking with what Linda taught me helped me remember an article about if you feel an ache and just push on through and finish what you are working on the ache will just go away.  In the context of what Linda had imparted, I had a new idea about handling a pang of hunger. When I next noticed the next one come on, I simply finished the one project I was working on. Sure enough, the urgent anxiety to “grab a quick snack” disappeared and not only did I have a morale boost by getting something DONE, I had no more hunger pangs and could function well until my next scheduled meal.  In short, I was no longer chasing after some random feeling in my body, rushing to eat something to solve it. I felt more control in life and more able to stick to my meal plan. I can see this will help me achieve my weight loss goal and give me more energy as I am now running the show and no longer have my body’s cravings running me!! If you can see how this phenomenon could be worse in trying circumstances and that I will now have much fewer “snack runs” in my life!

Really following Linda’s advice (and being fully candid in the first place so I would get the right advice) has made a world of difference in my overall health and well-being. I am truly grateful for her knowledge, expertise and helpfulness!
